FCC Registration Number (FRN):
An FCC Registration Number (FRN) is basically a simple 10‑digit ID you need anytime you interact with the Federal Communications Commission. If you ever apply for a radio license, pay a fee, or fill out certain forms, this number helps the FCC keep everything organized. You get your FRN through the FCC’s online CORES system, and it’s required whether you’re signing up as an individual or a business. Please register for a FRN prior to taking anyTechnician Licensing Class. Once you have passed your test(s), the FCC will get in touch with you directly advising of any licensing fees that are applicable.
