NEXT CLUB MEETING:  September 9th, 2010 at 7 PM

Club Meetings:  The Federal Way Amateur Radio Club meets on the Second Thursday of the month at the Federal Way Church of Christ's Teen Center at 7pm.  The Teen Center is located at 29904 Military Road South in Federal Way.  All are welcome to attend, even if not a licensed ham.

At our last club meeting...  Well, we didn't have a guest speaker at August 12th club meeting.  Instead club president Dan Camp-AF7O held a round table session inquiring what club members would like for guest speakers, and programs for the club in the coming months.

FW COMMUNITY CENTER OFFERS FIRST AID & CPR CLASSES

The Federal Way Community Center is offering a number of first aid & CPR classes for the Fall quarter.  Each class is $35.  For more info on their upcoming classes, please contact the community center at 253-835-6900.

LET'S GO FISHIN'...  WITH YOUR RADIO!

The Washington State QSO Party, aka Salmon Run, will take place on September 18th & 19th.  The objective of this Western Washington DX Club sponsored on air event is to work as many stations during the 23 hours of this two day contest.  Multipliers are given for each Washington State counties worked, as well as, multipliers for each US state, Canadian province, and DX entity worked.  For more information about the upcoming Salmon Run, click on the logo.

1st Thursday of the Month
The area's D-Star Users Group meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Federal Way Church of Christ's Teen Center.
Everyone is welcome!

2nd Thursday of the Month
The radio club holds their monthly club meetings at the Federal Way Church of Christ's Teen Center. Board of Trustee's meeting is at 6PM, and general membership meeting
starts at 7PM.

3rd Thursday of the Month
The Club's Emergency Communications Response Team (ECRT) meets at 7PM at the South King Fire & Rescue Station 62.
All are welcome to attend.

4th Saturday of the Month
Our monthly breakfast, Hams' & Eggs. Come join us for a good breakfast, and eyeball-to-eyeball QSO's at 8:30AM at the Old Country Buffet behind the Billy McHale's Restaurant.
